About the Awards

With a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement (which is referred to as KAIZEN across Bridgestone), BMSA and Otraco team members are invited to participate in the annual BMSA Awards which focus on quality, safety, the environment and project achievements. The record number of participants in the recent Awards program reflected the shared passion and dedication that drives the Bridgestone Essence.

Evaluating the award entries, judges considered several factors including: added value of the innovation; overall methodology of concept development; engagement across the business; and impact with respect to sustainability, social responsibility and ongoing potential.

Otraco General Manager, David Gunther said that the Otraco team submitted some very impressive entries into the BMSA Awards. David said the entries highlight Otraco's focus on KAIZEN and the value that innovation brings to client operations across mining sites worldwide.
