Always keen to participate in community events, Otraco recently sponsored the Grease, Gears and Grills car show at the Nameless Jarndunmunha Festival at Tom Price in Western Australia.
The annual festival is an integral event within the local community. It takes its name from Mount Nameless/Jarndunmunha meaning 'place of rock wallabies' known by the Eastern Guruma people, the Traditional Owners of the area surrounding Tom Price.
Added to the line-up in 2017, the Grease Gears and Grills (GGG) event once again appealed to local motorbike and car enthusiasts. Beginning with a street parade of the town’s classic motorbikes and rare cars, visitors had the opportunity to spend countless hours admiring the fine collections beautifully presented by motorbike and car owners.
Otraco’s Operations Superintendent, Brad Sheather, said that the GGG was a great success again this year with a key highlight being the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the world-famous Land Rover, culminating in a ‘best on day’ Land Rover prize. For many people, the main drawcard was an EH Holden ute drag car which attracted attention from visitors every time the engine was started.
"The Otraco team had a lot of fun on the day including manning the competition for 'guess the number of valve caps'. This was a hotly contested competition with the eventual winner being a local Tom Price resident who was thrilled with his prize of a free set of tyres for his family car – a Ford F250," said Brad.
